Description

Specialized's Boy's Hotrock 24 is a fun ride that's perfect for off-road exploration and urban adventure. Its aluminum frame is light and super fast, while the SR SunTour fork smooths out impacts and improves control in rough conditions. Plus, he'll love the twist shifters and easy-pedaling 21-speed drivetrain that's perfect for scaling the neighborhood's toughest inclines. And for awesome control, the Boy's Hotrock has sure-stopping linear-pull brakes and grippy Specialized tires, too.

My son Loves his new bike, but...

Pros:
nice looking, Easy to Grow Into
Cons:
Broken parts frequently, Wears Quickly, Needs constant repairs
Best Uses:
Light Trails, Big Kids, Urban
My son loves this new bike that he got for his birthday and he takes really good care of it, but we have had several parts break on it already. He rides it almost everyday and has never been rough with it (this bicycle is his pride and joy!) I really thought the quality would be better for the amount of money we spent. I think we've had better luck with [...] bikes, honestly, as far as durability goes.

Do not take this one on "real" mountain biking trails, stay with local hills and bumps.

My 8 yr old loves this bike!!

Pros:
Built to Last, Easy to Grow Into, Stable, Highly Adjustable, Smooth Ride
Cons:
Best Uses:
Light Trails, Street Riding
My 8 yr old has had hand-me-down bikes and he has been extremely happy with this bike. It was easy to learn to use the gears. He has had it a year and he rides on and off road. No mechanical problems. He has certainly enjoyed riding much more since he has had this bicycle!!
