Ride between 15-30 miles a day. Made some modifications, such as 5 in rise handlebars to spare my back and shoulders and nubby 32 inch tires to aide in off road ride on shell paths and they work great. Great bike for the money. Very happy with my decision to purchase it.

      Comments:

I love to ride but do it infrequently. When I do I want to go fast but in New York there's always a bump in the road so I was also looking for comfort. Having competed in my first 66 mile ride this summer, on a complete comfort hybrid, I starting looking to increase my speed and give up a little comfort. With this bike, I was lucky enough to have both. I loved it's sporty feeling and quick acceleration. With the tires at 80 psi, the ride is really smooth for city riding over the bumps. For faster rides I can increase the pressure. I'm really pleased with the bike and it feels very nimble compared to the bulky rides I've rented in the past. This is a great entrance for me, the beginner rider. The only con may be the handle bar extensions which aren't the best for maneuvering in tight traffic; but they can always be taken off and put on for longer rides. Enjoy, Pat

        Comments:

Purchased this after several years away from cycling because I could no longer ride my last bike because the drop handlebars hurt my neck. This bike ROCKS! It's so sporty and responsive. I've only ridden it on pavement in Chicago (streets and the lakefront bike path). I took four comparable bikes for long test rides. The rider position is more upright than on some bikes, less upright than others, but a good balance for me. I have a bad back and neck, and I've ridden almost 100 miles with no issues so far. The same goes for the ride on this bike: not as smooth as some, and not as harsh as others. I would describe the ride as mildly harsh, but not in a bad way. It's like a sports car--it transmits to the operator information about the terrain it's on to facilitate proper handling and control. There are a lot of cracks and holes on the streets of Chicago, and I certainly feel them. But on a smooth street or bike path, THIS BIKE GOES LIKE A ROCKET! When you're on the street at the front of a line of cars and the light turns green, this bike is like a thoroughbred blasting out of the gate. At times like this one needs a bit of confidence, and this bike delivers it. It effortlessly shifts through its gears and accelerates. So, if you're thinking of switching from a road bike to a more comfortable upright ride, but don't want the the mushy ride and rolling friction of the wider tires on a comfort bike, check this hybrid out. You'll sacrifice some wind resistance for the sake of comfort, but you won't be disappointed in the performance.

        Comments:

Bought this product as it provide better physical characteristics than box-store models at a worthwhile price. Been using this product for weekend club rides and 'part-time' commutes to work. The frame has screw threads on the fork and seat stay to support installation of racks, if desired. You may find the stock grips (Specialized Body Geometry Comfort grips) twisting on you, and you may perhaps consider bar-ends for more grip space, as the shifters occupy most of the handlebar space, otherwise. I recommend this product for serious yet budget-minded starting cyclists.

              Comments:

Specialized's Sirrus is essentially a road bike with flat handle bars. Everything designed for the pavement with quality components make for a bike that feels like it could go forever. For those of us who remember the long rides on 10-speeds in our youth, but would rather forego the roadbike attitude. Absolutely love it!

This is a good casual bike. The carbon components are worth the extra bucks. The sora shifter is ok, but is not that great. This bike is pretty close to a nice touring road bike.

First bike I ever owned. After renting one then trying this one out, I bought it the next day. Comfortable, easy, good control, and even my long time biking friend loves it! However, some jerkwad stole it! But my next bike is gonna be the same! Well, maybe a different color... =)
