Bontrager's Turbo Charger features an easy-to-read raised gauge, durable steel barrel, comfy co-molded handle, and an auto-select head that instantly fits both Presta and Schrader valves. The handle locks in the barrel for easy transportation and storage. Plus, the large, stable base assists pumping and minimizes tipping, too.
Stable to use with high gauge location which makes reading easier and nice long air hose. Good air pressure increase with only one stroke of handle when working correctly.
However, the head that goes on the valve stem is difficult to remove quickly and constantly sticks upon attempting to disengage the head. This constantly led to loss of air below inflation goal. Also, the lever to lock on a Schrader value was difficult to engage sometimes as the somewhat thick logo sticker moved around, slid under the lever ledge and prohibited the full click in of the head lever. But the greater issue was the lack of quick release from the valve stem.
My opinion is that the pump is advertised to fit both the wide Schrader valve and the smaller Presta valve. However, the head lever compresses for both sizes in one movement of the lever. This is unlike other brands that have a two lever position = one for Schrader and a 2nd movement for the smaller Presta valves. The point being it over compresses on the larger Schrader valves causing the rubber liner to sync with the valve threads. Then upon release the rubber liner doesn't immediately want to release from being stuck/sync'd with the threads.
I returned the pump after buying another pump that has a two position lever and therefore does not over compress/tighten against the Schrader valve. Now I have no problems. The new pump does not seem to increase the air pressure as much with one stroke however, but that's okay.
